Certified Professional (MCP) Certification
Certification has become a necessity for IT
professionals in the last few years, and
there is no certification program that is
as widely known and recognized as
Microsoft. They offer certification in
several different areas of expertise,
including networking and systems
administration, database administration
and systems engineering. All of their
certified candidates gain the individual
certificates and are also given the title
Microsoft Certified Professional
(MCP).
Certification programs help you as an IT
technician by recognizing your skills and
experience in a particular area of IT
expertise. This is helpful in that it will
help you to gain promotion, as your
employer will recognize that you have
progressed in your job, and is
particularly useful if you are applying
for a new job. Certification is a part of
the building process for a successful
career, giving you the steps that you need
to take to progress as far as you want.
