Qualifications for Entry
If you want to repair computers for a
living, you need certification. The days
of the self-taught expert are fading.
Often, a certificate, diploma, or at most,
a two-year associate degree in computer
systems and repair is all that is
necessary for an entry-level job. Some
companies will require more education,
depending on the job responsibilities.
Because this type of work is much like a
craft or learned skill, quality programs
will often help students find internships
at computer repair shops or company IT
departments.
